Amaya Project: A Tropical Oasis, Right at Home
We believe a swimming pool is more than just a place to cool off — it’s the heart of an outdoor living experience. Amaya Project was born from that vision: creating a private tropical sanctuary in a spacious residential area in Cianjur. The homeowner wanted a space that felt like a permanent vacation — where every day begins and ends with the serenity of water, surrounded by greenery and natural textures. Inspired by resort-style pools in Bali and tropical villas across Southeast Asia, we designed Amaya to bring that effortless luxury into everyday living. The goal was clear: A tropical retreat that feels organic, warm, and timeless.
Design Highlights of Amaya
The pool itself spans a generous 7x3 meters, with a tiered depth perfect for both lounging and swimming. Wrapped in natural white stone and warm-toned wood decking, the pool invites barefoot comfort and barefoot beauty. We carefully positioned the pool within the garden to maximize: Morning and afternoon sunlight. Cross breezes that make the area feel cool even on the hottest days. Visual flow between water, landscaping, and architecture. Soft, lush tropical plants were planted around the perimeter to complete the escape: frangipani, bamboo, and flowering bushes that will grow even more beautiful over time. By day, Amaya is a bright, inviting retreat. By night, with custom lighting, it transforms into an intimate, glowing oasis under the stars.
Challenges and Craftsmanship
Even with a generous space, true tropical design demands:
· Balancing structure with softness
· Managing water runoff naturally (especially in rainy seasons)
· Choosing durable, weather-resistant materials without sacrificing the organic feel
Every detail, from the stone cuts to the placement of the smallest plant, was handled carefully to deliver an authentic, lasting tropical experience.
